DESCRIPTION:Guest speaker Cyndi Wentland will discuss how understanding and managing diversity is a key strategy for businesses today.  Having the savvy to navigate differences in customer expectations and reactions to the sales process can be a challenge.\n\n\n\nThis session will cover the pitfalls of navigating cultural perspectives at several key times in the sales process. Considering nuances in communication\, particularly what is not being shared by your customer\, and having situational awareness during the sales experience to focus on customer cues is important.  We'll explore tips and techniques to read these cues\, and provide education to increase your effectiveness with key customer segments.\n\n\n\nCyndi Wentland is a small business owner and a part time faculty member for Madison College.  She has a background in sales\, service and leadership both from a training and consulting perspective.  She has taught hundreds of managers on improving communication and interpersonal effectiveness and navigating the most common challenges to leadership impact.  She has worked in the financial services\, engineering and construction\, professional services and manufacturing industries.
